Instrument Design

In my Design theory and methods class we were to research unique instruments and design our own. I started my designs by combining a drum and harp together but it ended up not being practical and very difficult to build. I ended up constructing a triangular shaped drum that worked very well. It sides were made of wood and the drum head was made of durable plastic. It made a lows sound and depending on where you struck the head, it would make a different tone. I also used a bright yellow paint and black for the detail to give it and energetic and futuristic look.
